The four-step process

From the county recorder to your inbox, every weekday

The automated sequence that puts yesterday's tax liens, with the details that matter, in front of you before anyone else calls.

The source

A tax lien is recorded

When the IRS files a Notice of Federal Tax Lien, or the FTB, EDD or CDTFA records a state tax lien, it becomes a public record. In California, liens against individuals are recorded with the county recorder where the taxpayer lives, and liens against corporations, LLCs and partnerships are filed with the Secretary of State.

  • Public record by law. Anyone can search these at the county recorder or Secretary of State.
  • A clear signal of need. A recorded lien means collection has escalated and the taxpayer is now motivated to resolve it.
  • Federal and state. IRS, FTB, EDD and CDTFA liens all land in the same county records.
02Overnight
Collection

Our system pulls every new lien

Each night our system checks every county index in our network, plus the Secretary of State, for lien documents recorded since the last business day. It collects the index entry and the recorded image for each one.

  • Automated county pulls from each official recorder index.
  • Lien document types only. Federal and state tax liens, not deeds or other filings.
  • Monitoring built in. If a county portal is down, we're alerted and retry automatically.

The detail

We read each lien document

This is the step bulk lien lists skip. We read the recorded Form 668(Y)(c) or state lien and pull out the kind of tax, every tax period, and the unpaid balance of assessment. Then we flag the leads that deserve a call first.

  • Kind of tax and periods straight from the lien, so you know whether it's payroll, income or sales tax.
  • Unpaid balance on every record, so you can size the case before you call.
  • Case flags. 941 liens flagged for TFRP exposure, multi-year liens and older periods marked for a CSED check.

Know which lien to call first

TFRP exposure

Payroll tax liens

Shown on 941 liens. Unpaid trust fund taxes can be assessed personally against responsible owners and officers, which makes these some of the most urgent and valuable cases.

Multi-year

Several tax years on one lien

More periods usually means a larger balance, compliance work to do, and more room for an installment agreement, CNC or OIC.

CSED check

Older tax periods

Shown when the oldest period is old enough that the collection statute expiration date may be near. Worth confirming before you quote a fee.

Who it's for

Who gets the most value?

If your practice grows by reaching taxpayers when they first need help, this was built for you.

Tax resolution firms

A recorded lien is the moment a taxpayer starts looking for help. Reach them days after recording, with the kind of tax and balance in hand, instead of weeks later from a quarterly list.

Enrolled Agents

Representation before the IRS is your core service. A daily list of new federal and state liens in your area keeps your calendar full of the cases you're licensed to handle.

CPAs with a representation practice

Add resolution work alongside tax prep. Lien leads bring in clients who need ongoing compliance and preparation once their collection case is resolved.

Tax attorneys

Large balances, payroll liens and TFRP exposure often call for counsel. Filter by balance and kind of tax to find the cases that fit your practice.

Payroll and bookkeeping firms

A 941 or EDD lien means a business's payroll went wrong. That owner needs a reliable payroll provider and clean books going forward.

Firms building a referral network

Use the digest to start relationships with taxpayers who need help now, and to refer cases outside your practice area to trusted colleagues.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a Notice of Federal Tax Lien?

A Notice of Federal Tax Lien (Form 668(Y)(c)) is the public notice the IRS files after a tax is assessed, demanded and left unpaid. It puts creditors on notice of the government's claim against the taxpayer's property. California's FTB, EDD and CDTFA record their own state tax liens the same way.

How fresh is the data?

We pull new liens every night and your digest arrives by 7 a.m. Timing depends on how quickly each county posts its index, which is typically within a few days of recording. That is far fresher than quarterly extracts or monthly lists.

Which counties are covered?

We launch in California in February 2027, starting with the counties listed on our homepage. We add counties based on subscriber demand. If yours isn't listed, join the waitlist and tell us which county you need.

Can I send solicitation letters to these taxpayers?

Practitioners may send solicitations that comply with Circular 230 §10.30. Our letter templates include the required statement that the letter is a solicitation and name the public record used to select the recipient. You remain responsible for your own content and for any other rules that apply to your practice.

Do you include phone numbers?

No. Every field comes from the recorded lien document itself. We don't add skip-traced phone numbers or other data from outside sources.

How do I get records into my CRM?

Every plan includes one-click CSV export. Filter the records you want, download them, and import them into your CRM or send them to your mail house.

Is there a contract?

No. Subscribe monthly and cancel anytime from your account. Exclusive territories stay yours as long as your subscription is active.
